Port

class pmrf.models.components.ideal.Port(z0: Any = 50.0, *, name: str | None = None, metadata: Any = None)

Bases: Model

Represents a circuit port with a reference impedance.

This class serves as a placeholder or marker for external connections in a pmrf.models.Circuit definition, though can also be used as a simple tagged load in other types of models.

z0 is the port’s reference impedance (ADR-0006). In a pmrf.models.Circuit, it is the reference the circuit’s S-parameters are reported at by default. On its own, a port is a matched load at z0: s() is zero by default, and a load of impedance z0 when probed at an explicit z0.

supports_native_z0: ClassVar[bool] = True

Whether the model has a native reference impedance, so that s() accepts z0=None (ADR-0006). A model that sets it defaults to z0=None.
